Can't remember the rules about eggs. Can I eat them?

I think the rule is that both the whites and yolk need to be well cooked.

They have to be cooked through - no runny yolks. Rubbish, isn't it? I have DP on a promise to make me eggs benedict for breakfast the day after she's born.

The only danger from eggs is a very small chance of salmonella if they are not fully cooked. That would not affect the baby but can affect pg women worse than normal.

I discussed this with my mw as I have decided to eat runny eggs anyway as I don't see this as a big risk and her opinion was that if you buy good quality lion-marked eggs the hens are supposed to be vaccinated anyway so she thinks its fine.

Hard boiled eggs only. I wouldn't take the risk. Even though it's a small risk you never know and just imagine how bad you would feel if you got sick. However, different person different opinion and the final decision is up to you. Doctors/mw can only advise on the diet.
