Hi!

So... i have been ttc for a very long time now and i am terrible for symptom spotting. I am 14dpo and no af so decided to test and got a bfp! I was convinced i wasn't pregnant as i have absolutely no symptoms what so ever and i am so worried!! I also feel as though af will arrive any minute. Has anyone else experienced similar? Im so worried it'll end badly after trying for so long!

Yeah I didn’t have any symptoms at all in the early days with both of mine. It’s common! I thought this was going to be about going into labour not knowing 😄 I know someone that has happened to too.
Congratulations!

I didn’t have any symptoms for the first few weeks of my pregnancy. Certainly nothing at 14dpo. I felt a bit nauseous from weeks 6-13 but no vomiting. I did feel overwhelming tired from 8 weeks until about 16 weeks. It isn’t unusual not to have symptoms before testing. Congratulations.

Ohpulltheotherone · 23/06/2021 20:26

No symptoms here except tiredness, which I could have put down to late nights or too much work if I hadn’t actually known I was pregnant.

Symptoms come and go so don’t get hung up on it honestly, you might find sickness kicks in any minute!

Congratulations!

This is really encouraging, thanks, and congratulations! Nothing here, no symptoms, ttc for ages, waiting to test or AF at the weekend x

I had period pains and a negative test but a late period with dc1. We were TTC, but I honestly thought I was anemic! DH came home and found me cooking red meat which I didn't normally eat and said maybe you're pregnant which I scoffed at.

Anon08 · 23/06/2021 20:28

Had no idea at first, was drinking and eating all the wrong things.. then realised I was late. Symptoms kicked in with a vengeance though and I’ve been enjoying a 24/7 hangover ever since!

Patapouf · 23/06/2021 20:31

Ahh congrats! I had a funny feeling before AF was due but didn't test until I was 5 days late 😅

RealisticSketch · 23/06/2021 20:32

My neighbour went into labour before she realised she was pregnant, 4th child so you'd think she might recognise how it felt by then. She was in her 40's and thought she was perimenopausal Grin it's really common not to know, certainly at the start!

bleachblondemom · 23/06/2021 21:33

I was exactly the same. Zero symptoms, did a pregnancy test just to get the inevitable negative out of the way and it was positive.

Monsterjam · 23/06/2021 21:36

I was around 11 weeks when I found out, periods hadn’t returned after my 1st baby so unable to date it. And I had a 6 month old so was permanently exhausted and just didn’t really notice

Bunnyfuller · 23/06/2021 21:44

DD2 was 2 weeks of period pain but no period.

Also though this was going to be ouch I felt a head between my legs.

Notcalledlottie · 23/06/2021 22:00

I was on the phone one day and suddenly felt really sick
Did a test to put my mind at rest-negative so just put it down to a bug
Roll on 7 months later and I ended up at the doctors on the Monday with such bad backache I couldn’t stand up,let alone walk
Turned out I was not only pregnant-I was overdue
Gave birth on the Thursday morning, stood up on the landing floor (he was almost born on the loo-5 seconds earlier and he would have been)
He’s now 21-he was my 3rd baby

Omg. I'm loving these stories! Its crazy how someone can go through a full pregnancy and not realise they are pregnant. It's amazing though. All those little miricles :)

I had symptoms very early with all of mine apart from this one! Actually refused to test until I was a few days late because I was so sure I wasn't.

BastardMonkfish · 23/06/2021 22:16

Honestly the symptom spotting is all nonsense. I think it's a way to pass the time in the tww more than anything! You'll probably start to feel really thirsty and some period cramp type pains in the next few days. If you get nausea/breast pain/tiredness that'll probably be another week or two or maybe never!

But then I'm 35 weeks and sitting here with a baby booting me from the inside, nipples leaking colostrum and I still can't say I 'feel' pregnant. I just am pregnant but I don't feel any different mentally! Maybe I'm not very maternal Blush
