Need advice as Iām in a bit of a pickle š! I started employment with an agency on a 12 week contract that started in April. I was offered a year contract with the company directly in may but now they have said they can no longer offer me that. Now Iām still with the agency, Iām past the temp 12 week stage and they said Iām just in a rolling contract for the time being, they have had some staff leave so they will review how many staff they need and that will obviously effect me. Iām now panicking because I know I have to be in employment for 26 continuous weeks to get maternity pay but do you think I should speak to my agency and ask if they can take me on another roll in the company (which they usually have available) or would this effect maternity pay or should I take my chances and not say anything? Iām only 8 weeks I didnāt want to mention anything this soon but I donāt want to be left without a job suddenly š©
