Private docs...worth it before 20 weeks?

So found a really great doctor that we like and seems to be well respected and recommended. thing is she takes a sabbatical during July and August and therefore won't really be able to look after me til 20 weeks (I am currently 8).

We are very anxious as this was a shock natural pregnancy after starting IVF cos we were told my DH would never father children naturally and to top it all off I am expecting twins. Amazing news but we are super nervous! I am have a number of health conditions which will need watching carefully esp in late pregnancy.

I am happy to go with NHS for my 12 week scan. has anyone done private and know if it's really worth it between 12 and 20 weeks?

I am not sure if its worth waiting for 20 weeks to see the one i really want or finding someone else?

Any advice?

(please no discussions on whether i should go private at all etc...we have the funds in place and its what we want to do)

Thank you

What did you end up doing @Bells3032 ? Hope all went well!

@Confused31 we ended up planning to switch at a later date with a couple of appts prior to that due to some complications. However, my daughter arrived early and very fast so never got there and ended up having her in the local hospital. All turned out OK and she's now ahappy and healthy 10 month old
