36+4 & having slight period type cramps

Niggly period type cramps. Is this normal?? On and off for a few days now x

It’s definitely the start of things but at the same time it could be hours, days, or weeks until labour I’m afraid. Not helpful I know. I had period type cramps that came in waves from 37 weeks and was Googling every single sign and symptom of labour. I was convinced it was imminent. I went to 42 weeks and had to be induced so try not to get your hopes up. Other women have had this and went in to labour the same day though.
