Hi everyone,

I’m about 5 weeks pregnant with my first. Yesterday morning I had a very small amount of pale pink discharge, it stopped but started again in the evening as dark brown.

I went to A&E, they said didn’t think I was ectopic and have a scan booked tomorrow. Over today I carried on passing small amount of brown discharge, but it’s now gone red and increasing in amounts and I have cramping like period pain.

Is there any hope at this point? I am pretty sure I’m losing my pregnancy but just wanted to see if anyone has any similar experience and it turned out okay?

Thank you all x

I have had 4 miscarriages red blood is not always bad news, but with the cramping and red blood picking up on you it looks like it's a chemical pregnancy, have you done another test to see what that says 2 of my losses started with brown discharge, but I'm praying it's just a little bleed and nothing more 💚

Thank you for your reply. I was still showing pregnant last night at the hospital.

I’m about 2 weeks late for when I normally start my period and I’ve had other pregnancy symptoms I hadn’t even considered a chemical pregnancy. I had mild cramping on and off last week but it’s been continuous since this morning, and I’ve just noticed clots (sorry tmi)

They say a chemical pregnancy is up to 5 weeks, so sorry your going through this it's an awful thing to go through, just take it easy and look after yourself a hot water bottle painkillers and as much chocolate as you need to get you through the nxt couple of days, my losses have all been different a test can show positive for a few weeks after depending on your hormone levels. But hoping it's just a blood clot from implantation and everything turns out just fine tomorrow 💚

Just think about u how did you scan go today x

@Babyghirl thank you for your message. Sadly this morning the bleeding all got very heavy, so I wasn’t not surprised that they did not find anything on my scan Sad

Unfortunately because my pregnancy urine test this morning was positive but they couldn’t find anything I’m now classed as “status unknown”, so I had hcg bloods this am and have them repeated Friday to make sure, but I know I’m not pregnant anymore from what I saw pass and I just know I’m not from my body if that makes sense.

Pretty devastated :( but hopefully it will happen for us one day. I’m so sorry you have also been through losses, thank you for your kind words of support last night x

So we are going through similar things!

I'm 5 weeks today, and was in a&e on Monday in crippling pain, after passing out a few days prior they suspected ectopic or miscarriage but I've had no bleeding.

I went for my ultrasound today and they saw nothing! So I've had a hcg blood test today, with a repeat on Friday morning (sounds the same as your schedule!)

Best of luck to you, whatever the outcome. I had a chemical pregnancy 2 cycles ago just know it's ok to feel sorry for yourself and have a couple of days to yourself if needed. X
