Hi, it's my first pregnancy and a worrying side effect as been my leaky bladder, from quite early on. At about 4 months I really didn't feel the need to go but was horrified to find that I'd wee'd myself. I've been doing pelvic floors and talked to my GP but still find occasionally that I've had a leak, usually with some discharge too. The worrying thing is that it happens so quickly, before I can get to the loo. Is this normal? I can only imagine it getting worse (now 29 weeks) and postnatal.

Is there any hope for better bladder control?

continue pelvic floor exercises.
How often, how many do you do?
You should do about 50 to 100 squeezes 3 times a day and /or however often you think of it.

and then there's this

I think only to be used postpartum though.

Ask your midwife/Dr

ask your GP for a referral to a gynae physio
they can check you are doing your pelvic floor exercises effectively
