Worth bothering with NIPT/harmony with 1:3816 risk?

Hi all,

As the title says really, is it worth bothering with a private NIPT test if my risk from the NHS combined screening is 1:3816? I have it booked for Friday but am thinking maybe the money is better spent elsewhere. I’m 37.

Personally with a low combined test I’d save my money

I wouldn't. I had my last baby at 39 and although I can't remember the exact numbers now, I think they were pretty similar to yours. Baby is 10 months old now with no issues.

I’ve had a 1:148 risk and a 1:278 risk and not had NIPT for either.
I was more interested in the nuchal measurement; was the bloods that put me ‘high risk’ for both.

Thanks everyone, I think we may save our money and try to relax…easier said than done!
