Hi guys so I'm 5+2 and started using palmers stretch mark lotion and tummy butter, wow I'm itchy!! Since I've used it in rashy & super itchy has anyone else had this?

Dunno if it's a pregnancy side effect but the itching is just the worst & my scalp! Can anyone recommend a fragrance free sensitive skin moisturiser for stretch marks?

Thank you!

Just a natural moisturiser will do it. If you're going to get stretch marks, you'll get them regardless. No product can stop them. It's down to your collagen.

@delilahbucket thank you 🙂 my mum
& sister didn't so 🤞🏻

Just use your usual creams.
Stretch mark specific creams do nothing anyway as the damage to the skin happens too deep.

I found my skin was way more sensitive during pregnancy, my normal deodorant made my arm pits burn.

I just used organic coconut oil on my belly, but only when the skin felt uncomfortable. As PP said there’s no cream, lotion or potion that will prevent stretch marks so I wouldn’t worry about applying anything religiously.

You can get a fragrance free version of palmers coco butter (not the tummy butter) if that helps. But as others have said, there’s nothing you can really do to prevent them. If your mum didn’t get them that’s a good sign. I just had my first baby and didn’t get one stretch mark (neither did my mum) and I barely used any moisturisers.

I am 37 weeks. I used coconut oil in the beginning of my pregnancy and I was very much itchy. I was fine when I stopped using it and used normal lotion once in a while on my tummy during entire pregnancy. I was very concerned at first about getting stretch marks but I haven't got any so I now believe it all goes to your genetics. Don't bother much !! Tiger stripes are natural and I have them around my bum and thighs from my over weight days... You can't avoid them

I really like bio oil gel in general great for right, itchy skin. Re the stretch marks you'll either get them or you won't. It's definitely seems hereditary so you've got a good chance. My mum and older sister never got them and neither did I

*tight not right itchy skin but that maybe works too 😆

I put a few drops of bio oil in my normal body lotion and it feels quite soothing to massage in. Under my bump sometimes gets really itchy/rashy so if it's pretty bad I'll use sudocrem on it overnight. Luckily no stretch marks but I do think it's the luck of the draw. I'm surprised I have none as I still have so many from puberty!
