Hi Ladies,

34 weeks pregnant with my third baby & I have been having braxton hicks about every 3 minutes, has anyone else experienced this before?
I’ve read it could be uterine irritatability? Just wondering what others have had xXx

I'm current 36 weeks and believe I have been experiencing braxton hicks since being in my 20 weeks, this is my second baby and my midwife told me it's common to feel, since you are close to your due date it should be expected

I do also feel them quite close together all throughout the day but it's been happening for weeks x

I had some days where they were super frequent then the next day they would tail off again. I wouldn’t worry OP, it’s just your body getting ready.

Thank you.
I ended up ringing triage as they were 4 minutes apart so I had 8 in half an hour, she advised to take paracetamol and call back if they didn’t slow.
After the paracetamol they went to more like 8 mins apart so didn’t call back, but I’ve been having them very frequently again from this afternoon so just keep taking paracetamol for them as they can be very uncomfortable xx
