Measuring 12 weeks ahead?!

Yes 12 Hmm

At 25 weeks bump measured 31 and yesterday at 28 weeks bump measured 40, two midwives checked and they both agreed. My trust don't scan for large for dates, only small. But surely this is ridiculous?! I don't actually feel that big but am around 6ft so baby definitely has room to grow in there. I have a consultant appointment next week so will ask then, is it more likely fluid or huge baby?!

I would imagine they will want to do three growth scans, 2 weeks apart and a glucose intolerance test. Ask your consultant directly if you need them. During your 20 week scan they will have calculated the amount of fluid and rescanned you if there was an issue.

Do you have a GROW chart?

tigerbread20 · 21/06/2021 20:43

I've had the gtt which was fine.

Not sure what a GROW chart is, just have the normal fundal height graph in my maternity notes

I had very similar measurements. Baby was 11lbs 6ozs and I had polyhydroamnios too so a double whammy. 1st consultant said I’d be fine to deliver naturally but 2nd (female) consultant recommended a C Section but that wasn’t until 36 weeks that decision was made.
