Well atleast im not on my own because thought you were meant to be more sexual not the oposite, things might change yet still early doors.

It doesn't sound unusual. What with the tiredness, nausea, leaky bladder and sore boobs sex was the last thing on my mind.
Your sex drive will probably come back with bells on when you feel better at around 12 weeks.

thankyou for all your help

I went right off it, things are picking up a bit now I am 16 weeks, but not madly.

I have not been worrying, I have heard this can happen

skidaddle · 23/11/2007 16:53

oh I think it is entirely normal - especially if you're suffering from morning sickness and/or are exhausted. Lots of women find they get back into it in mid-pg and then go off it again towards the end. I certainly wouldn't worry about it

hoxtonchick · 23/11/2007 16:54

i went totally off sex throughout both my pregnancies.

Lucyand2 · 23/11/2007 16:56

Completely normal! I'm almost 30 weeks and I can count on one hand the number of times I've done it this pregnancy. Poor DP!

EBenes · 23/11/2007 17:02

Hormones. First pregnancy I had this weird phase for a few weeks in the first trimester where I was very interested, but it stopped as soon as it had started. I'm sure it's nature's way of telling you not to get unnecessary intercourse related diseases while you're pregnant, or something like that. It is even worse, as said above, when breastfeeding.

LOVEMYMUM · 23/11/2007 17:12

I'm 25 weeks and went off sex as soon as i conceived. Just not interested in it - still madly in love with my delicious hubbie just not horny! In fact, not wanting sex was one of my first symptoms. I did want it again around the third month but at six months, if I get on top i suffocate hubbie with my boobs and am too heavy for him anyway. There are other ways of being sexual with him. Please don't feel awful about going off sex.

starshaker · 23/11/2007 17:17

chunkypudding · 23/11/2007 17:30

... sorry, what's 'sex' ?????

34+1 and my memory is getting hazy...

spugs · 24/11/2007 08:57

nope ive totally gone off it in all my pregnancys for the duration. just can not be bothered.

beeper · 24/11/2007 11:28

Chunky pudding...sex is that thing that made that belly thing grow....

fruitful · 24/11/2007 16:55

But if you've got time for sex then you've got time for sleep. Hmm, now let me think.

Sleep?

Sex?

Sleep?

Hmm.

No contest.
