1st post here... hope someone who knows may be able to help. Please 🥺
My partner and I are TTC and we're a bit meticulous when it comes to money so I have basically assessed my works mat policy every day since we decided to make sure its gonna work.
This evening, work have changed their policy and shared it on our HR system...
It was SMP for 39 weeks, but now, they've changed it to:
1-8 weeks Full Pay
9-39 weeks SMP
40-52 weeks 0
This sooooo is much better, but I'm just hoping you could help me figure something out...
Where SMP is weeks 1-6 at 90%, does this mean that from week 9 it would drop to 90% for 6 weeks? Or does the 8 weeks of full pay cover what would be the first 6 weeks?
I hope someone out there might be able to help!
