5 months pp, having lots of very odd symptoms for a week so tested. This one looked like a positive but the two I’ve taken in the afternoon are negative and so was the Sainsbury’s own brand this morning. Could this just be an evap or invalid or should I be testing again? Definitely not ttc but feel very off.

It's so faint, it's hard to tell. Would retest in a couple of days.

I think these tests are unreliable which is why I’m wondering if it’s a false positive….the one I did the afternoon before was stark white negative and so was the one I did the afternoon about 4 hours after this one. How confusing!🤦🏼‍♀️

Try a different brand and see how you get on. I got my first bfp with a cheap pound shop one, then used FRER and Clearblue just to check. Was saving the expensive ones 😂 Second time I took 2 cheapies, same brand. Had to double check because of the shock.

A lot of people on here have different experiences with different brands and depending on your own hormones. I've found them all to be the same, reliability wise when it's been positive but everyone's different.

I did a FRER yesterday afternoon but that was negative which is why I feel like the first was an evap or similar. But then again that was FMU yesterday and I did the FRER after going out for a drink with a friend in the afternoon so I’m just so unsure. Think I’ll try again tomo morning maybe….

Yes try again and try first thing in the morning. If you can hold off 2 days even better. Will probably get a more reliable result, will all depend on your own hormones. FRER seems to be a good choice for most people.

How late are you?

Baker2937 · 20/06/2021 17:10

I’m day 31 in my cycle but EBF so periods are all over the place! Haven’t been particularly careful however for the last month or so🤦🏼‍♀️ But period is usually about 29 days. Last month I also had a scare though but knew it was pretty unlikely! I might do cheapie in the morn and save FRER for a couple of days…

Yeah will be so much harder to track then! Good idea. It's good to have the cheapies there so you can do them more often, it's hard not to test.
Good luck for tomorrow Smile
