Sore breast/nipple relief

Hi everyone, currently 19 weeks with my first pregnancy and have a very bizzare question (maybe).

I'm looking for relief from painful nipples. I've had sore boobs since literally week 3 and now they
actually tender breast has worn off, it's my nipples that are so painful. The stick out and are so hard that they throb and prevent me from wearing any tops at all. I try to prevent them from getting cold by having them under the duvet but even if nothing is touching them the throbbing and the pain is driving me mad. I also can't decide if they are itchy or not, if that makes sense! I think so, but I'm not 100%.

I tried a quick Google but it was less advice on what to do to prevent pain and more just saying that they go through changes - which yes, I know Google!

Anyone else have this or had this and can give me some good advice? I'd love a good night's sleep.

You could try the silver cups for use when breastfeeding, they cool and protect nipples from clothing etc.
