Test getting lighter... spotting 6weeks.

I have been spotting bright red for about a week now.

My tests have been getting lighter and now gone down to 1-2weeks when I was at 2-3. I am 6weeks pregnant today.

Has anyone had any experience of this? I tried a regular test and it was very faint. I've previously had strong positives.

The spotting keeps stopping for hours then I'll have a little bit.

No cramping but the tests are worrying me. Surely I should have dark lines at 6weeks.

I had this at the beginning of the year, sadly mine ended in an early miscarriage. Was my third loss. I'm sorry to say it's not sounding good OP. I'd prepare yourself for the worst, also call the EPU on Monday if your still bleeding and getting positive tests. They will probably tell you to wait a week or so and test again to see if your still getting positive tests. Look after yourself xx

Sorry this is happening. Can you call your hospitals early pregnancy unit/emergency gynaecology unit and ask their advice?

One of my pregnancies was unsuccessful however I didn't think to take any further pregnancy tests so I can't advise on that front.

EPU are giving me a scan when I'm 7+1. It's just a horrible limbo.
I was planning to tell my family today and I just don't feel like I can get their hopes up.

@Ivy23 they may scan you earlier if you call them, I don't think they're open at weekends though and will likely make you wait till Monday. The tests your taking, have you been taking them every morning? These were mine back in January and I was spotting lightly also. But it did take over a week to get a completely negative test, I had a fairly big bleed before that happened. I'm so sorry you're going through it 😞 xx

Did you have full days where you didn't bleed at all? I've had this spotting on and off now for a week and half.
I think the tests should be progressing though. I will phone them on Monday and see if they will scan any earlier.

I'm so sorry for your losses. Thank you for giving me advice. I feel like there can't be a good reason for the tests being lighter. I've been taking them at random times to be hoenst but the one this morning was 1-2 weeks on the digi when I'm 6weeks this morning. 😩

Spotting for me did stop and start, sometimes it was brown, other times was red. I took a test each morning so I knew it wasn't good news as they were getting significantly lighter each day. Tests should technically progress but if your doing them at different times of the day then that could be the reason why they aren't. Either way def call them on Monday and see what they suggest. Have everything crossed for you xx
