Hello ladies :)
I've just found out I'm expecting my first, and we're not telling people yet, but there are so many things I'm looking forward to I thought it would be fun to share some here!

What are you most excited about when your little one arrives?
I can't wait for my parents to have a grandchild; to see him or her smile for the first time; to read books with them, and see what sort of father my DH will be!

The thing I love most is cuddles, it's a sad time when they stop wanting them.

To actually bring a healthy baby home after losing our son shortly after he was born and slowly piecing our lives together again.

That is the big thing I’m looking forward to. The other stuff is, seeing what she looks like- if she resembles our son.

Holding her and not having to give her up. Dressing her, seeing her first smile, crawl. Spending all the big holidays as a family and with our wider family.

Watching my cat meet her.

Can't wait to see my DH's face when he becomes a dad. he's spent most of his adult life thinking he'd never father a child cos of childhood cancer. We had two years of treatment to get him in a position where IVF was a possibility but we were told chances of natural conception was extremely low. Last week - after a cancelled cycle of IVF we have discovered I am pregnant naturally.

I pray this baby is ok and we will take him/her home - this conception is so rare and something DH never even dreamt of. I just pray he gets to hold his baby him his arms

I was really looking forward to the more interactive toddler stage, I'm not a massive fan of the baby stage. So far, not disappointed, my 2 year old is hilarious and great for chats (most of the time) 😆. Expecting again now and I'm most looking forward to seeing the sibling bond develop x

Interesting! The ages I'm most looking forward to are newborn and like 7-10 years old :D

Another one for not being pregnant anymore! And the cuddles when they're tiny are the best. And introducing them to food and seeing their eyes light up at a banana/orange/whatever. Let alone chocolate.

Very sorry for your loss green.

Congratulations! That must be so special for your husband.

As a mother of a toddler and a baby, I would say that toddler cuddles are way better than baby cuddles because toddlers actually initiate them and hug you back, it's my favourite thing!
