Who else is nearly there?? And overthinking every little twinge or sign of Labour?! I'm 38 weeks today with my third and having some signs but then it comes to nothing 😂 been having tightenings had an upset tummy and keep waking up feeling sick!
Yesterday I slept for 2 hours after the school run but today I was on a proper nesting mission lol 😂

I know he will come when he's ready but I never remember being this on edge both my other children were late so I'm guessing he will be too just hopeful thinking 😂

Please tell me I'm not the only one 🤷‍♀️

Hi 👋
39 weeks today (with my second) and feel exactly the same! period and back pains for over a week now. Really strong braxton hicks sometimes for 3/4 hours then go to bed and nothing 🙄
Baby was 3/5 engaged at 36 weeks so kept thinking it might make an early arrival, however I’m now convinced it will be over!
I keep being told ‘you’ll know when it’s the real thing’ but I keep thinking it is 😳

Mylasmummy2102 · 18/06/2021 18:51

Ohhh it's so frustrating isn't it!! Yeah my braxton hicks are getting worse abs last ages then I'll sit down and they will go!! I know I'm just being impatient lol and he will come when he's ready I'm 30 on the 7th July so was hoping he would be out by then 😂 but not going to get my hopes up 😂😂

36 weeks with my 3rd and soooooo ready! Baby is already estimated to be 6lbs so I'd say fairly well cooked. I am also on hopeful alert at every twinge but I do know (if I'm honest) that I'll know when its real. But my goodness does every cramp (and there are many) give me hope.

My 1st didn't really go naturally (long story) even though it technically did. But she was 39+3

2nd was 40+3 after a sweep.

So can safely say its going to be a loooonng 4 weeks!

Mylasmummy2102 · 19/06/2021 07:16

@Muststopeating yeah my baby was estimated to be 5lb at 32 weeks so pretty sure he will be a good size too!! I've been awake since 4.30 feeling sick 🤢 probably nothing lol. These next few weeks are going to drag both my daughters were 9 days late so im not getting my hopes up lol

I am right there with you! 39+2 and I've been having period-like pains, upset tummy, and wild hormones (incl. washing all the kitchen walls) on and off for 5 days now. I had a feeling this one was going to be a little early, and when I started showing these signs that labour will happen "soon" I was convinced. Now I don't know anything anymore

Mylasmummy2102 · 19/06/2021 09:05

@kingfisher657!! Poor you it's rubbish isn't it I know it's really not that long to wait and they come when their ready but it feels like forever doesn't it!! I don't remember being like this with the other 2! I'm cleaning like crazy too 😂

@Mylasmummy2102 I am already worrying about going overdue and needing an induction. And I'm barely 39 weeks, and it's my first baby, so this anxiety is really not warranted! I keep oscillating between feeling very relaxed and loving and sleepy, feeling very tearful and upset and anxious, and manically nesting. Hope yours comes for you soon and puts you out of your misery!

Mylasmummy2102 · 19/06/2021 14:56

@kingfisher657 Ohhh bless you it's horrible isn't it! I know exactly how you feel it will be totally worth it in the end and they will be here sooner then we know xx

Anyone popped yet? I've come to realise that baby is doing a practice session every evening. On/off cramps and oh the pressure in my bum.

Have no energy all day for anything and then get really restless in the evening.

Its the heartburn and ongoing cough (cold 7 weeks ago, not COVID and just cannot get rid of the cough) that are particularly nuts. Then the numb yet painful ribs. They are all so bad that the horrendous hip and back pain in bed feels managable this time. Its just a joyful time! Grin

Mylasmummy2102 · 20/06/2021 18:52

No I'm still going lol! Oh god don't talk to me about heartburn ❤️‍🔥 Jesus never felt anything like it this baby better have a full head of hair 😂

Yeah I've been having a lot of practice contractions and very restless at night too!

I am still waiting as well! No change really - daily cramps, loads of BH, upset tummy, and wild hormones. I have a sweep on Friday (40+1) which I'm really hoping will get things moving.

Mylasmummy2102 · 23/06/2021 13:54

I abs midwife today told her I'd been sick in the mornings and just generally feeling shattered she then felt my tummy and said he is ridiculously low down and she doesn't think it will be long till he's here but not going to get my hopes up too much. Now not seeing her for another 2 weeks tho

I think you're close @Mylasmummy2102
I had an intense nesting day and then the following day my back started to hurt and I was a bit unsure but by night time I knew labour had started.

I think you'll go soon. Congratulations and good luck. It's a very special time

Mylasmummy2102 · 23/06/2021 14:04

I was nesting over the weekend and since have felt shattered and had sickness and generally just had a few off days where I've needed to nap!! Hopefully he will arrive soon 🤞

I put a post up today about second guessing my symptoms! I'm 38+3 and very fed up now. Had cramps around my bump and lower back for 2 days non stop, got really bad last night and I was convinced I'd wake up with contractions, but nope. Back to just plain ol' cramps this morning.

I'm trying to keep myself distracted and get the oxytocin flowing, but I am such an impatient person and really hate waiting for things!

Mylasmummy2102 · 23/06/2021 14:26

@WhatTheFlap I'm the exact same I'm literally googling everything 😂 this is my third so I should know when it's happening but been such a rubbish pregnancy that I just want him here lol. Midwife said today he's 3/5 palpable which is apparently a good sign 🤞 they will be here soon xx

I feel your pain! I’m now 39+5 and been convinced at some point everyday for the last 3 weeks that’s I’m going into labour 😂 I’ve had almost constant period pains and back ache.
Yesterday spent the whole day cleaning and scrubbing every inch of the house hoping it might start something but no… as soon as I go to bed everything stops!
Also the constant messages of ‘any signs of baby’ are slowly driving me crazy!

Mylasmummy2102 · 23/06/2021 14:32

Ohhh I know it's so frustrating both my girls were 9 days late so i know what's it's like midwife seems hopeful he will be here pretty soon but I'm not going to get too excited I've planned a nice long walk at the weekend so hopefully might help.

Ohh bless you I'm sure baby will be here soon make sure you rest lots tho xx

My DC3 descended and engaged at 36 weeks. At 39 weeks I had a full night of (gentle) contractions, plus upset digestive tract. He was born… at 41 weeks, 9lbs4! Arghhhhhh! Super unfair. My first two were both born at 39/40 weeks and only 6lbs9. I’m convinced third babies just like to mess with you. 😂

Mylasmummy2102 · 23/06/2021 14:43

@UpToMyElbowsInDiapers ohh no I've been told he was 5lb at 32 weeks and midwife reckons he will be about 8lb ish when he's born but they can never really know for sure! I'm 30 on the 7th July and would really love him to here by then 😂 think it's wishful thinking. I know it's not long untill he technically has to be here but then last few weeks are such a drag lol

Well I have just been very very violently sick out of absolutely nowhere.

With DD1 they broke my waters, I threw up and then contractions started.

Trying not to read too much into it!

Mylasmummy2102 · 24/06/2021 16:22

Ohh bless you sickness is horrible ain't it i wasn't sick with my other 2 until after I gave birth!

Just relax and see how it goes xx

Me! 38+2. No one has ever gone this far in my family apparently and I swear if they say it once more I'll flip. Getting calls everyday asking if he's here. I've had 2 days in the last week when I've had twinges enough to think "maybe today" but alas nothing.

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 24/06/2021 16:38

@PurBal this is when you reply saying "Yes hes here!" And send a photo of a potato 🥔

Ah yes. I do that too! (Nearly dropped the baby the first time).

2nd time round I was sick but while actually in laboir (en route to hospital, luckily husband had the foresight to bring a bucket).

Have palmed kids onto brother (who is staying with us) and lying in bed. Feel really rubbish, so really hope this isn't a bug! Think that might finish me off. Confused
