2nd trimester headaches

I seem to be getting daily headaches now I am in my second trimester.
Pre-pregnancy I would suffer from migraines around time of the month but this not seems to be pretty constant.

I spoke to the doctor a while ago about a few migraines I had had while pregnant in the earlier days and they advised I could take over the counter Co-Codamol for a short time to clear it as Paracetamol doesnt help at all.
Obviously I dont want to keep taking this because of the Codeine content.

Has anyone suffered similar?
Did you find anything that helped?
I am staying hydrated and sleeping as best I can.

@Flutterby8 Hi lovely. Ive been suffering terrible with headaches - thankfully they have cleared up (for now).

Mine seemed to be there as soon as I woke up in the morning and so the midwife recommended eating a banana just before I go to bed. And buying a humidifier for my bedroom and it seems to have worked.

I’be also changed my diet to allow for smaller meals throughout the day. Eating more often seems to keep them at bay, it may have something to do with blood sugar levels. Ive taken paracetamol to try and help. But as I say they seem to have passed now so it could hormonal. But they were so painful, make sure you go back to the drs if they persist xxx

Thank you for your reply @Overtherainbow2021
Interesting about eating a banana before bed?! Ive never heard of that before!
I try to drink a decent amount of water before bed and get an early night most nights and yet, it seems to be there as soon as I wake up.

I will try eating smaller meals during the day as at the moment I struggle with main evening meals so smaller portions may help with that too.

How far along were you when your headaches improved if you dont mind me asking?

The only thing that works for me is electrolytes. I drink a sports drink when they come on and it goes within a hour
