Do you 'feel' pregnant?

I'm 7 weeks pregnant today and I really don't 'feel' pregnant. I remember in early pregnancy with dd (9) I felt pregnant, and that's what resulted in me taking a test (my period was a week late but I hadn't realised as I didn't track at the time). I'm an anxious person and I worry about everything! So of course I'm worried about something being wrong, and not feeling pregnant is one area of focus. So yeah, do other pregnant people feel pregnant? And if you didn't, did everything work out okay??

i think i am about 7 weeks but unsure as cycles all over the place (have a dating scan on Monday). and honestly no. bar some mild nausea (why i took the test to begin with) i honestly don't feel any different.

overtherainbo · 18/06/2021 11:08

I'm 6+4 according to my last period.
After trying for 3 years I'm watching all signs and symptoms.

I don't 'feel' pregnant at all. I do have sore nipples occasionally but that is the ONLY symptom. Which I'm worried about. I go for a reassurance scan on Tuesday so I will know more then

ApplePie86 · 18/06/2021 11:14

I'm over 12 weeks and don't feel pregnant. Like nothing at all. And I've had scans to confirm all good so I definitely am.

When I first found out I was hoping and praying to be throwing up every morning and feeling awful but now I'm just grateful that didn't happen!

overtherainbo · 18/06/2021 11:18

@ApplePie86 I've been hoping for nausea too haha. I hoped that if I felt rotten the HCG would be rising haha!

StepMummaLove · 18/06/2021 12:17

I'm 17 weeks and don't feel at all different. I haven't felt any different at all. (Aside from spending a week in hospital when we 1st found out for a suspected ectopic). So no, not at all!
@ApplePie86 I also agree! Even now, I just pray for SOMETHING, anything!

SadSongsAndWaltzes · 18/06/2021 12:21

I did with my first, from before my period was even late. I did too with my second, but with less nausea than the first time round, and I didn't feel pregnant at all with my third apart from occasional mild nausea. I lost the second to miscarriage at 13 weeks, but have two beautiful girls from the first and third pregnancies. I think every pregnancy is different.

Tibtab · 18/06/2021 12:26

I’m 20 weeks and just feel fat tbh, don’t get any baby movements. It’s my second and I was so sick with my first that I think I felt pregnant more.

Sammyd94 · 18/06/2021 12:33

I’m currently about 5 weeks pregnant and I don’t feel pregnant, but I do feel tired, a bit nauseous and my boobs are so sore. Ive done about 10 tests and all positive so I’m definitely pregnant, think I convinced myself for so long I couldn’t get pregnant that it’s hard to believe it’s happened to me!

choccrumpet · 18/06/2021 12:49

I'm 5 weeks pregnant and apart from tiredness, sore boobs, breathlessness and some cramps it still doesn't feel real! The breathlessness is probably the one symptom that is affecting me the most as I get breathless just talking sometimes (next would be the tiredness and need to crawl into bed at 5pm 😂) but I dont "feel" pregnant yet no

wingsofsteel · 18/06/2021 12:52

I didn't feel any different with either of my pregnancies until I started to show. At both of my 12 week scans I half expected to be told that the test was wrong and I was not pregnant.

overtherainbo · 18/06/2021 12:57

I'm expecting to be told the tests are wrong and there's no baby at the scan haha. I've paid for a private scan next week

shivawn · 18/06/2021 13:22

No I don't most of the time, only in the evenings when I'm relaxing and I can feel my bump and feel the baby moving around. During the days im too busy and active to even pay attention to movements.

Ya91 · 18/06/2021 13:51

I’m 9+4 and I’ve felt absolutely fine and normal, I went for an early scan yesterday convinced they were going to tell me I wasn’t pregnant, but everything was fine and all looked good.

Wiltshire90 · 18/06/2021 13:54

I only started to feel pregnant at 16 weeks as suddenly my tummy came out and I couldn't suck it in anymore! 😬

Cathie102 · 18/06/2021 14:16

At the start when I found out I was pregnant I didn't feel any different! I was working out and all and feeling really bad ass and brilliant. And then symptoms kicked in!!! So there's still time, and if you're one of the lucky ones who don't get many symptoms then enjoy it. It doesn't mean anything!!!

sarah13xx · 18/06/2021 14:23

I’m 32 weeks and don’t feel pregnant! I had this terrible image of what pregnancy was like my whole life, I imagined it to be uncomfortable and just a constant problem so you’d be counting down the seconds to have the baby. I know for a lot of people maybe that is their experience but I still question on a daily basis whether I’m really pregnant or not 😂 I did at first then obviously past 20 weeks you can feel the baby more and more so there obviously is a baby in there but I don’t have a single bit of pain, still sleep all night etc 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don’t know whether my extreme negative opinion of pregnancy prior to entering into it helped 😂

Lsquiggles · 18/06/2021 14:30

When I was pregnant I didn't feel pregnant at all, just bloody tired Grin it all starts feeling more feel when you start feeling movements Smile

Lsquiggles · 18/06/2021 14:30

More real*

hullaballoo19 · 18/06/2021 19:25

Great to hear from lots of people!

My only consistent symptom this time is very sore boobs. I didn't really have any symptoms with dd, but did feel pregnant. It's a relief to hear this is common for many and everything is fine 😊

I think everyone is different. I am 17+4 and feel pregnant but mainly coz I have hyperemesis and pelvic pain whereas my friend who is around 15 weeks doesn’t feel much different !

Mummysausage36 · 18/06/2021 19:42

I'm 4 weeks and feel awful I felt pregnant before I got my positive! Symptoms are really strong it was the same with dd1 but for 2 and 3 i had hardly anything and they were fine!! so I just think every pregnancy is different!

Trinacham · 18/06/2021 20:06

I'm 7 weeks too, and no, I don't feel pregnant. Well, not how I was expecting to anyway (this is my first). I thought I'd have more symptoms.

PurBal · 18/06/2021 20:09

Yes, but I'm 37 weeks. I didn't feel pregnant at first, just "under the weather". Probably changed around 20 weeks when I felt LO move. 16-28 weeks were the best ones in my opinion :)

Rmw99 · 18/06/2021 20:20

This is a weird one for me as in my first pregnancy I instantly felt pregnant, I felt different, I looked different, felt sick etc. This time round although I have very bad morning sickness lasting all day and incredibly sore nipples (even having a shower is painful) I don't actually feel 'pregnant'. I think maybe because iv detached myself from it abit as it so worried something will happen xx

Flutterby8 · 18/06/2021 20:51

This is my first pregnancy so feeling 'pregnant' is a weird concept.
Ive felt dire for the first 12 weeks or so with hyperemesis and total exhaustion.
I thought at my 12 week scan they wouldnt find a baby and the sickness would be down to some random cause!
Im now 2nd trimester and just feel off. Im not showing, nor have i felt any signs of movement.
Im struggling with food but dont feel like i am growing a human.
Its just weird!
