Labour at 34 weeks?

I'm 34 weeks pregnant with baby number two, my DD was born last July so a very small gap, and someone today commented that I was more likely to go into preterm labour because of the small gap. This has worried me as I've been getting increased pelvic pressure and lower back pain in the last few days. My daughter was an induction as was overdue so I don't really know what early labour feels like 🤷‍♀️ anyone know if it's true about preterm labour with close second pregnancies???

Gosh that is a very small gap! I don’t know if what that person has said is correct but it’s very likely that the pain is due to the baby growing as your pelvic joints are being put under that pressure again after only a short break.
When you have a baby, your joints soften and stretch and they go back over time post-labour. However when you have a second baby close in age, the joints and ligaments can be really impacted by this as there’s little recovery time.
I wouldn’t worry about premature labour but certainly mention it to your midwife as this may be something which lasts beyond pregnancy
