CO screening at booking appointment

Hi, I’m in my first trimester of my second pregnancy and have my booking appointment next week. I had a CO test in my last (pre-Covid) pregnancy, but I feel like I remember reading last year that CO testing for pregnant women had been suspended because of Covid. Just wondering that’s right and if anyone who’s had their booking appointment recently has been offered CO testing. Thanks!

I had one at my 12 week scan/midwife appointment, they asked me to stand by the open window to do it 😂 and then didn't record the result so not sure what the point was really.

It's been reinstated recently. Not sure if all trusts are doing it but it's now deemed to be safe and is being reintroduced

I had mine two weeks ago.

I had two during pregnancy within the last year, prior to February.

I've had my booking appointment and wasn't asked to do one, but my 12 week scan isn't till next week, I guess they are a bit of a covid risk!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 16/06/2021 20:24

Theyve recently started them again

I’m 26 weeks now but I had one at my 12 week scan appointment.

Hufflepuffsunite · 16/06/2021 20:42

I had mine at my booking in (I'm 17 weeks now).

Thanks for your replies. Sounds like lots of trusts have started doing them again (or possibly never stopped)?

They did one at my booking appointment last week - I kept my mask on and just put the straw type thingy underneath!
