Hi everyone, so we think our 2 yr old has slapped cheek. Aiming to get it confirmed today. I am 28 wks pregnant and have been told if it's confirmed I will need to a blood test to check my immunity. From what I see online we are past the stage with the most risk for baby but I was wondering if anyone has been through this and what the outcome was. Thanks

Sorry to hear this OP, must be a stressful time for you.

The things to bear in mind are;
-A majority of women are immune to parvovirus
-Even if you are not immune, if you practice careful hand hygeine, avoid sharing cutlery/cups etc. with your toddler you would not necessarily catch it
-Even if you are not immune and you do catch it, the risk of any serious adverse outcome at 28 weeks is very low

I understand though anything like this happening in pregnancy is scary Flowers
