Collecting Chicco next2me - is it easy to transport?

Hi all,
A friend offered me her used chicco next 2 me crib. I will need to collect her from her house, which is a 30 min drive away.
We don’t have a car at the moment so I would need to take a taxi.
My husband thinks it will be too much trouble to collect it, as we will need to book a big car.
My question is: is the chicco next 2me foldable/portable in any way?

I know it’s a bit heavy - 9 kg, I think - but if the stand and the bed can be folded separately, I think we can manage to take it home in a regular car.
Unfortunately I can’t find this information on chicco’s website or on any of the other online retailers...

It folds down and should come in its own carry bag. We used to take ours away as it it smaller than a travel cot and fit into the boot of our small car along with all our other stuff.

Surely you could just ask your friend if it folds down and if she think it could be transported in a regular size car/taxi?!

If she's a good enough friend to offer it to you she's a good enough friend to ask and answer the question?

I don't own one but I believe they're pretty portable so it should be fine.

It comes all folded in a carry case. Shouldn’t be too heavy and will fit easily in boot of a small car.

Yes, it will fit in a regular car as you can fold it down. I wouldn't count on a carry bag - I don't think mine came with one (or if it did then I've lost it). It would probably fit in a couple of bin bags if you just wanted something to protect it though.

Oh just to add, maybe watch a video of how to fold it in case you need to do it in a hurry while the taxi waits! If it's the same as mine it uses those kind of metal buttons that you push in and then slide out (if that makes sense).
