Haematoma on placenta

I'm 12 weeks pregnant with my rainbow baby. Have been feeling great lately after weeks of nausea and food aversion/ only wanting carbs (can thankfully now stomach fruit and veg again!). Thought I'd finally hit my glow and was looking forward to my dating scan when I started cramping and wiped blood. Thankfully EPU saw me and baby was bouncing around and measuring bang on but there is a bleed site caused by a haematoma. Just been told to rest but of course now anxiety is through the roof and I'm worried this will affect my blood pressure which was already on the high side and I'm worrying will make things worse. Just after some support and some positive stories if possible please.

Hi, I had a hematoma at 7 wks with my rainbow baby too. I am not 28 weeks and the hematoma healed by 12 wk scan. I had the initial bleed like you and then had brown spotting for a while but it resolved quite quickly. The only thing I didn't do once I found up was pick up my 2 year old. Hematoma are quite common and the vast majority resolve with no issues. Your baby will be completely unaware of all this going on Smile
