Hi All,

I'm a little concerned. On Saturday I started to have regular Braxton Hicks, every 6 to 10 minutes for 7 hours. Lots of back pain and pressure.

I went to hospital, they did an internal and I bled red blood. They checked my cervix which seemed closed and babies head was right down. I've been advised not to do anything strenuous and they have put me on a sex ban! (Gulp!)

Now a couple of days on I'm spotting brown sludge. They were pretty rough with me when they did the internal, it was very alarming to see res blood at the time. But I'm so tender and sore, lots of back pain.

Is this normal?! I'm now a little worried that the internal could have dislodged my plug?

Any similar experiences? Not sure how long to leave it before I call.

Did you phone op?

Mmy82 · 15/06/2021 12:29

Hi All, yes I phoned them and they seem to think this is normal and should die down in a couple of days. I've just got to keep an eye on if I get any more regular contractions.

I've got obstetric Cholestasis and low Papp a. So this baby is up against quite a bit.

Always alarming to see blood in pregnancy.

Thanks all
