Hi everyone, Thankyou for taking time to read my post, I lm just wondering at this confusing time if anyone has gone through what I’m going through right now and go on to have healthy pregnancy?
I’m drained and stressed and no of the wiser to what is actually going on. Heres my story,

I was due to come on my period 27th may and didn’t so I took a cb test on 1st June it’s was positive ( 2-3). I then went to stay with my partner 4th and took another cb test to surprise him. It still said pregnant but (1-2) which I couldn’t get my head around. His cousin had early HGC test which I took and the app generated a 23 reading from the colour of the line. Unfortunately I woke up on the 5th to blood on the toilet and what looked like a very light period, i had this for two days, I was worried and went into hospital to see emergency GP who referred me to early pregnancy unit, they booked me for today 14th for scan. I’m still tested positive (1-2) before scan however the scan shown nothing and then had the internal scan and still shown nothing.
I was sent for bloods and just received the news that my HGC is 25. I have to head back on Wednesday for more blood tests to see if any rise.
What I can’t get my head around is how my HCG is not decreasing if I have suffered miscarriage a week ago? Has anyone gone through anything similar?
I’m going out of my mind and overthinking many different scenarios. I know Wednesday will probably give me the answer but just seeing if anyone else has been through this?
Again Thankyou for taking time to read my story

Hi I’m sorry you’re going through this.
What’s happening with your HCG levels is certainly not unusual, even in the case of miscarriage, hormone levels can stay the same or even increase Flowers

Hi NcagainNC
My head is going into overdrive with it all, they say I’m only around 3 weeks which is very early to show on the scan and which will also not show high levels of HGC but obviously if it was a healthy pregnancy I would not of had a bleed and my HGC would of doubled or more from a week. I guess I’m just holding out for any ounce of hope. Wednesday doesn’t seem to long to wait for answers but having already waited a week it’s just so sad. I really expected an answer today but just left confused.
Thankyou for replying

Hey OP, I'm sorry your going through this. I went through the same last year, pregnancy of unknown location. Same as you, I had positive tests but I was also bleeding. Had a scan, they couldn't see anything. So I had to have bloods done every 48 hours and scans also, my HCG was increasing but barely and my uterus was still empty. I continued to have bloods done for almost 2 weeks until suddenly my HCG started decreasing, but even then they were decreasing really slowly. I eventually had to have an injection called methotrexate to remove whatever was left over. It's a really stressful time, I'm so sorry your going through it Thanks x

Hi sweettooth89
I’m ever so sorry that you also have gone through this. It’s very sad and heartbreaking. I think it’s all the scans and tests that have knocked me as to deep down I know what the outcome will be. It’s very hard to go from getting a positive test to all the stress a few days later.
Thank you for commenting and again so sorry you too have had this very difficult situation 😢 x

Hi OP,
I am so sorry you are going through this it is just the worst.
This happened to me in Nov 2020, I had an early scan after some bleeding at what I thought was 6+4 only to be told the pregnancy was a PUL & potential ectopic so they wanted to test my HCG levels every 48 hours.
First set of bloods were 543, then increased to 640. At this point they couldn’t rule out ectopic pregnancy. 48 hours later the levels had dropped to 118 and they confirmed that it had been a miscarriage. They asked me to return in 7 days and that final HCG blood count was 1 so they confirmed my pregnancy was over.

So sorry it’s not a positive story I just didn’t want to read & run as I found it really helpful reading other people’s stories.

Sending you lots of love xxx

Hi rgp89,

So sorry for your loss too, I know it’s only early but it’s still very heartbreaking and stressful to go through especially in our situation where we are having it going on longer with all the tests. My partner is not taking it in and still thinks there might be a slight chance as I’m only three weeks so I thought I would come on here and find some comfort with other ladies who have been through this and have been able to get through it so Thankyou so much for your message, it really does help knowing I’m not the only heartbroken early loss. Again ever so sorry you too have been in this sad situation x

It really is an awful time being in limbo, so look after yourself. Also remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The pregnancy of unknown location was my second loss, I went on to have another early MC after that. However I'm now 20 weeks pregnant and all is perfect. It will happen for you, don't give up ☺️Thanks xx
