Hi I think I might be suffering with PGP and was wondering if anyone had any tips, I'm 23 wks and have a horrible aching feeling in my hips, lower back and public area. It hurts to stand up especially when getting out of bed, I have to do a lot of walking to take my daughter to school as well and that makes it feel a lot worse and some days I struggle to even get out of bed and do things because it hurts so much to love. Does anyone have any tips to relieve the pain, I sleep with a pregnancy pillow and that helps a bit, paracetamol doesn't seem to do anything.

Limiting your range of motion is pretty much all you can do. You can ask for a physio referral, I've managed without that and on my 4th pregnancy with it (walking is a killer for me, hating dog walks now).
Shorten your walking stride. Keep legs together when getting in/out of bed/car or turning over in bed. Take stairs one at a time, lead with least painful side and bring the other to meet it on each step.
At your stage I would avoid painkillers or you'll need pretty heavy duty ones later on which are not the best for baby.

Sorry you are in so much pain. PGP sucks. I was put on cocodamol although I only take when the pain is exceptionally bad. I also self referred to occupational therapy and was given a bed lever to help me turn/get up in bed which is useful although sometimes I need my partner to help. Also have a swivel chair for the bathroom to avoid me lifting my legs to get in the bath. Hope it doesn't get worse for you.

NHS physio weren't that great so all doing exercises recommended by a private physio who I saw with my last pregnancy. They hurt to do but provide relief after.
