Bleeding

I feel I have a unique situation. 2 weeks ago I started spotting and had horrendous stomach pain for a few hours, did a pregnancy test to find it was positive and first time I knew I was pregnant.

At this stage I would only be just under 2 weeks. Dr and maternity ward have both said its too early to tell anything and to wait a few weeks.

The bleeding comes and goes, changing from red to brown and back. This has been continuous for the past 2 weeks with no signs of easing. Im now doing hcg tests and the lines are still strong.

Im just wondering if anyone else has ever experienced anything like this before? Its horrible not knowing whats happening

I'd make a GP appointment as they can refer you to Early Pregnancy Unit for HCG testing and/or scan as you'll now be 6 weeks ish pregnant(?)

Good luck

PS I can empathise with what a stressful time it is, I spotted pretty much up until 20 weeks with a few times of it stopping and then starting up again.

It's reassuring that your lines are still strong. Hope you get a positive outcome.

First of all you were 4 weeks when you found out, not 2, so you'd be 6 weeks now. It doesn't actually sound like a unique situation even though it might feel it, there can be lots of reasons for bleeding alongside positive tests. Book a scan with epu or request for your gp to, or book a private scan maybe.

Hi my period started 4 weeks ago this Wednesday, thats why my GP said it would have been around 2 and why its too early for a scan. Thank you, I know it probably isnt but just feels like a never ending waiting game
