Pregnant and my feet are on fire every night

I am only 15 weeks pregnant but have already started with the hot feet at night. And when I say hot, I mean absolutely on fire and so hot it wakes me up. They feel hot to the touch, it's not just psychological. I had this later on in my last pregnancy during winter, so it's not just a summer thing and I can't even think about being woken up by this every night for months and months!

I have tried:

  • Frozen hot water bottle, but it's not really comfortable and I keep having to fiddle with it. Also, only touches a part of my feet so I still wake up with hot bits.
  • Propping my feet up on pillows. I've not had much swelling yet but I thought it might help. Didn't really notice a difference and I know that later on I'll have such bad heartburn even on alllll the meds that I'll have to sleep sitting up and my big belly won't let me be a V all night!
  • Drinking more water. Meh. No discernable effect.
  • Going to bed in wet socks. Helps, but then they dry out and I get woken and have to wet them again.
  • Not draining the kids bath in the evening so I can get up and paddle in it during the night. This is excellent and very helpful for getting down to the comfortable temperature but I have to do this 1-3 times a night and it'll only get worse!

Any tips, no matter how wacky?! The paddling gets them cool again but I just want to not be woken up by it. I'll have enough crap nights when the baby's here!

I’m sorry I don’t have any advice but want to follow as I see myself going this way! I’ve bought a leg and foot cooling gel but won’t help with waking up in the night

Anyone?! It's half eleven and I'm up paddling in the bath AGAIN!

Someone on another thread said this which could be interesting:

This will sound a bit mad but I have bought a XL cooling pet mat from b&m and it is really good. I put it on my bed and put the sheet over it and it really is cooling. Only other things I can think of are fans, cold drinks and minimal exertion!!

Fan?

Cooling spray when it wakes you up?
