Anti d injection

Hi all

I'm looking for advice as I'm really worried. I'm 32 now and 26 weeks pregnant. I've recently found out I'm rhesus negative and will be receiving an anti d injection at 28 weeks. All of that is fine. However, when I was 18 I had a termination. I am unsure what my exact gestation was at time of termination but I'd definitely say it was around 12 weeks. I never ever had an anti d injection, it was never even mentioned. I found this information out about my blood type on Friday and did briefly speak to my midwife on Friday evening via text. She told me not to worry but I'm absolutely beside myself. I'm going to call my midwife on Monday to get some answers but wondering if anyone has anyone had anything similar happen?! Or know what the risks are? I'm so worried that my blood is going to start attacking my baby and I'm absolutely panicking. Could something terrible happen quickly? Any advice welcome! Thanks

Your blood will already have been checked for antibodies. Under 12 weeks I dont think anti d would have been given when you had your termination

Thanks - midwife didn't suggest that I'd had my bloods checked but I'll definitely ask her on Monday.

If you had developed antibodies from the previous pregnancy, then this would have shown up on your booking bloods. Also, the first pregnancy may have also been Rh Negative, so that would cause no problems.

Thanks - I'm going to speak to midwife on Monday about this.
