Pregnancy face

Gals,

I am breaking out and now have spots all on my face like a teenager (I am 33 yrs old). I have already done my time with spots as a hormonal teenager, feeling pretty miffed at the world right now.

I am 10 weeks pregnant- firstly, can this actually be related to pregnancy or do I need to investigate a different skincare regime (by different I mean spend even more money on overpriced moisturiser) and is there anything that can help or do I just need to suck it up and hope it goes soon? More importantly... does it go...eventually...hopefully soon...?Confused

Thanks

I'm nearly 30 weeks and got pregnancy acne about 7 weeks - I still have it and it's just as bad as when it started !!! It's all over my cheeks, neck and back, praying it goes after baby is born

I think it varies for everyone and even between different pregnancies for the same person.

Personally, I've never really had any acne at any point in my life. The odd spot here and there but I have no skincare regime (other than wearing SPF and occasionally moisturising if I remember). I often don't even wash my face at the end of the day, just in the morning in the shower and it's never been an issue...

Until I got pregnant! Now I have a new spot (or two) every single day. Putting anything on my face seems to make it worse and I don't have enough skincare skills to even begin coming up with a routine to tackle it. I'm currently pregnant with baby #2 and my skin is just as bad this time as it was with #1.

All I can say is that it did go once I had my little boy. Probably 6 weeks or so PP I noticed my skin was back to normal.

I was spotty up until I was 12+2 and then it just cleared overnight! It was definitely the worst at 10 weeks and like you, I was concerned it was something I was doing wrong, it couldn’t possibly “just” be pregnancy. Yep, it was just early pregnancy! Thankfully I think I’m in the “glowing phase” now. Good luck!!

Great to hear positive stories and that an end could be in sight.

I will continue to cross my fingers whilst resembling an orc from the lord of the rings and pray I get my rosy glow soon Blush

I am 22 weeks today and mine is still here. I hadn't had spots for years and years, I'm 27. I got cream from the doctors called duac but it doesn't do anything. Look like a literal teenager 😂 hoping it goes post baby!

The best thing I've found to clear the spot quicker is a dot of sudo cream on it and catching a face tan dries them out xx

I have been the same I'm 23 weeks pregnant . Been using Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser for the last week and it's really clearing my skin up .

Does anyone get a fat face during pregnancy? I feel like mine is growing

Yes and double chin
