Head down movements

Hi all,

Interested to know what your movements felt like towards the end of pregnancy when baby was head down.

We were told baby was breech (currently 37 +3) so booked in for ELCS at 39 weeks if baby hasn’t turned.

Just wondered what movements felt like for you when baby was head down? Or if your baby was breech what were your movements like?

Head down and getting lots of movements to the sides around/above bellybutton level and around my ribs

My little girl has been head down a lot over the last few weeks. Every midwife appointment she has her head buried in my pelvis and it's pretty uncomfortable. I'm 33 weeks tomorrow.
It feels like a lot of pressure in my pelvis most of the time, worse when I'm walking or if I need the toilet.
I'm getting lots of movement from her across my belly button area and just above where her feet are.

My baby has been head down since 20 weeks, I feel most movements around the sides of my stomach, just up under my ribs and also get a lot of pressure feeling in my pelvis if standing up too long, also a lot of pushing out feelings around the belly button

I’m 32+5 and I can feel him hiccuping really low in my pelvis. I get his bum sticking out several times a day just under my ribs, and any little kicks I get are around belly button level, but over to the left side x

I'm 29 weeks and baby is head down, almost all my movements are around my belly button area. Usually just to the left of my belly button - not really kicks anymore, but big movements instead

Like she had her foot wedged under my ribs!

PixieDust28 · 11/06/2021 21:57

Always felt movements by my sides and by my ribs.

Thanks all!

Trying to work out if I can feel any difference in the movement to guess whether she could have turned but it’s so hard to know. Have a MW appointment on Monday so will see what they say.

I’m not sure if it’s a head or a bum I feel high up under my ribs at the moment!

I also sometimes feel a really small lump (doesn’t seem big enough to be a head or bum) right at the bottom of my bump

Are you doing the spinning babies method to get her to turn? It's worked for a lot of people I know. If you an at home doppler the heartbeat location would give you a good idea. I felt little fists down low that I thought were feet!

PuddingPie16 · 12/06/2021 19:02

I'm coming up to 27 weeks and baby has been breach for a while now. I can tell the difference because I can feel his feet low in my pelvis. Hope that helps? I think you can tell the difference between the two (this is my 2nd pregnancy and first was never breach, this late on anyway).

strawberryplum993 · 12/06/2021 19:45

@HeyGirlHeyBoy yes, have taken a look at spinning babies, thanks!

@PuddingPie16 I can feel movement really don’t low as well as up high. The movement down low is less intense as the ones right under my ribs though!
