Not to scare you but that could be ectopic. Please go to your EPU and ask to be scanned.

JohnnyBullets · 11/06/2021 19:58

Have you had a scan yet?

Coco12ha · 11/06/2021 20:06

No I haven’t had a scan my midwife said if I feel unwell go a&e

I have had this on and off. They scanned me and I have a corpus luteum cyst where the egg was released from my ovary, as well as a subchornionic haematoma Hmm. I think as long as the pain isn't severe and there is no blood or feeling faint it is probably 'normal'. Could also be round ligament pain or the uterus stretching. If you're really worried you could always call the EPU for reassurance, or speak to your GP.

*subchorionic haematoma

Thanks so much been worrying sooo much 😢 I don’t have a scan till I’m roughly 13weeks and 2 days !!! I don’t have money for a private scan I’m just hoping everything is ok and it’s normal 💔😭 and I hope soooo much that my baby is healthy! Thanks for putting my head to rest a little xx

Could it be round ligament pain? That's usually in the right side!! Try not to worry - call the Early Pregnancy Unit tomorrow & see what they say ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

If it’s any reassurance, I think you’re quite late on to be ectopic... most rupture before 9 weeks.
I had an ectopic and only had a little one sided pain... but in this pregnancy, which is (so far) healthy (27 weeks), I had quite a lot of twinges and pains in one side. I had an early scan due to previous ectopic and they noted I had cysts on my ovary. They are super common and come from when you ovulate but 9/10 clear up by 12 weeks.

Having said that, if your pain is persistent, you feel bloated and lots of pressure on your organs, insist on being seen just in case it could be ectopic.

I agree

Call the EPU and they will offer you a scan.

ApplePie86 · 12/06/2021 06:14

I had the same as @Nutellatea Corpus Luteum Cyst.

However these actually caused me to have a positive pregnancy test. As far as I'm concerned I was never pregnant. I had been bleeding from ovulation and for the next 3/4 weeks.

I can honestly say the pain was probably the worst I've ever experienced and I did phone doctor and said I thought I was having an ectopic pregnancy. They pretty much ruled that out on the phone because I think if pain was that severe I would have also had shoulder tip pain.

In your position I'd be phoning doctor who will refer you for a blood test to measure HCG and then again in 48 hours. Hopefully that will ease your mind before a scan but if they suspect anything we they will scan you as well.

RainatMoonlight · 12/06/2021 12:33

Go to the EPU. It won't hurt to get it checked out, just in case, and you will get a nice early scan as well! :)
