Hiccups everyday at 34 weeks?

I usually feel the baby hiccuping everyday. Rarely 2x a day. I read on different sites after 32 weeks less common to feel that and maybe isn't normal. On my 32 weeks check i asked my midfiwe then she not mentioned that could be a problem but im still worried. Is anyone had the same at this stage?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes up to 5 times a day but usually at least 3, I asked in my 4th pregnancy and MW said that's fine.

All of mine (am on number 5) have been similar

My daughter always hiccuped. Perfectly normal. It can be a sign that they will suffer with reflux as a baby however.

I’ve been wondering the same thing! I’m 32+5 and mine gets hiccups 2-3 times a day. Started at around 28 weeks every now and then and developed into a multiple times a day thing x

Normal xx

PumpingPauper · 11/06/2021 11:15

Freaked me out the first time I felt them. I'd panicked I'd not felt the baby move for a bit then thought it was having a seizure inside me!

WithASpider · 11/06/2021 11:17

DD1 rarely kicked properly, just rolling and hiccups all the way through!

I would agree with this. First baby didn't feel any hiccups. Second baby constant hiccups and had terrible silent reflux and was on medication until 2.5 years old.

Thank you all! Xx i hope if reflux comes won't be that bad 😔

My daughter hiccuped every day for weeks and was hiccuping again within an hour of being born and she didn't have reflux. I can count on one hand the number of times she's been sick and she's 10 months so don't worry too much 😊

DS hiccuped every sodding night just as I was trying to get to sleep

And has always been quite a hiccups-prone child since he was born..!

GappyValley · 11/06/2021 13:34

Sorry, and didn’t have any sort of reflux and wasn’t a pukey baby either

MiniDoofa · 11/06/2021 13:34

My now nearly 14 year old had hiccups every afternoon.
No more hiccups than usual once born. No reflux. Healthy teenager.
Best wishes xx
