I took a CB pregnancy test a couple of days ago and nothing came up so I went about my day and had a look later ( 2hours )and there was a positive line?? This has happened to me twice now in the last week

Could just be an evaporation line. If you read the instructions, it says you need to read the result with in a certain window of time and anything out of that can’t be accurate.

Try testing again in a week or so.

I think this is known as an evaporation line, and isn’t reliable.

The instructions on most tests say that the line needs to appear within a matter of seconds or minutes.

You could be pregnant, but a line that appears a long time after testing isn’t reliable.

I’d suggest testing again in a few days’ time.

@LemonLemonLemon it was extremely dark but wasn’t as thick as the other one

This happened with my first pregnancy test. I thought it was negative and then looked a couple of hours later and there was a line. My son is now one year old! :)

I think if it's and evap line there wouldn't be any colour. I'd recommend getting another test.

It's an invalid test if a line comes up after the time frame stated in the instructions.
I had it with an early test before a clear bfp with this pregnancy, over 30wk now.

Give it a few days and test again.

Whenever this has happened to me it has always turned out to be positive, but blue dye tests are renowned for evap lines so I don't want to get your hopes up!

Try and get pink (preferably FRER!) x
