Hello, I’m currently pregnant with my first baby due on 25th June 2021 and honestly I’ve struggled. I’m 21 years old and relatively healthy and I’ve had the sickness, sciatica, SPD, extreme stretch marks and most recently polymorphic eruption which has been the worst. My booking weight was 11st 3 which I was already mortified at a normally 9st ish but lockdown happened and took its toll and now I’m at 14st 5 with only 2 weeks to go!!! It seeks quite extreme for me and I feel so far from myself. The stretch marks are horrendous and cellulite galore. I’m being a bridesmaid for my brother 6 weeks after due date and I just feel like a monster. I’m worried I’m never going to lose the marks and the weight and feel like me again 😔

Hey, I’m so sorry you feel this way!
Your body is doing an amazing thing and it will all be worth it once you have your baby in your arms I’m sure.
The stretch marks will fade over time and you’ll also lose weight too. Just don’t put too much pressure on yourself to ‘snap back’ quickly.
I found bio oil was great when I got stretch marks on my thighs and bum as a teenager and will use again to help fade any I get in this pregnancy.
You will find yourself again and I’m sure you’ll look amazing at your brothers wedding xx

I was about the same as you. I weighed myself a few days after birth and had dropped 1.5 stone. A lot of it will be baby, fluid, blood. The rest took a long time. Please don't put too much pressure on yourself for the wedding, you'll have gone through so much.
Take walks when you feel you're ready and try to make good food choices, but main thing is getting settled with your baby and finding your feet. It will be a crazy but lovely time Smile I want to say don't bother about your weight at all but it did get to me. I gained more a couple of months after giving birth with tiredness and I breastfed. My stretch marks started to fade a few weeks after birth, if they're still there they're so faint I don't notice them. I never put anything on them.

I wouldn't worry about it too much now. Just try to eat as healthy as possible until birth and then continue that with less calories after and the excess will come off slowly. Once all your problems ease off as hormones settle you can get back to exercising to tighten and trim but remember there is no rush. Stretch marks are for life but they will fade as you recover. Exercise will help reduce cellulite.

I know how depressing the changes to your body can be. I've had 4 term pregnancies inc twins and pregnant with our 6th. Hate my belly and all the excess skin but you learn to live with it and dress to be comfortable again.

Once your baby comes you will not worry as much and you will definitely see the amazing stuff you body has done! But been there so totally get it...
Try to limit the weight gain now as it was the worst for me (along with 1st trim morning sickness days).
Apply Moisturiser to your stretch mark and drink plenty of water!

6pp you should start to feel more like yourself... with excess fat and a little belly but also with a beautiful baby!
But yeah you should start to feel better if you have a straightforward birth and can start walking right after 🤞

Hi, I put on 3.5 stone in both my pregnancies. First single pregnancy and second twin. I actually went over with both - I mean who has to be induced with twins?!!
I also gained very quickly with both. I had bmi of 18 with both at start, by booking apt about 21 even though I ate the same - seriously.
That’s so lovely your going to be bridesmaid! You will look amazing, but realistically you will have just had a baby snd everyone will know this! Who looks like they haven’t had a baby 6 weeks after? - no one. Be proud! Everyone there will be looking at the bride and groom, they will also see you with a tiny baby and think, look at her she looks great and she’s just had a baby!!
