Has anyone had an early scan (6 weeks) & saw a healthy baby with a strong heartbeat but also told there was some ‘fluid’ around baby?
The sonographer said she isn’t concerned but wants me back for another scan in 2 weeks just to check.
Has anyone else had this & what did it turn out to be?
Thanks

I think it's best if you ask them to clarify what they meant.

I had an early scan with DS3 and all we saw was a tiny round blob, they couldn't detect heartbeat and no additional info apart from confirming pg and dating it (6w 3 days).
I'd want the sonographer to explain what they meant instead of pussyfooting about with something vague.

She said she couldn’t explain because she couldn’t really see what it was & that’s why she wants me back in 2 weeks. It’s just made me anxious now. We went for an early scan as I’ve had a previous ectopic, luckily this one is in the right place but I dunno what this ‘fluid’ is x

Was it NHS or a paid for private scan?

Ask what the differential diagnosis is. They must have ideas.
