I'm 22 weeks pregnant and suffering.
I'm going to take the dog for a short walk. If it doesn't work what else can I try?
I've been in all sorts of positions and didn't notice how big my bump was until I tried a few and failed... a few
Lying on my left side or rocking on all fours stretching forward usually works but not this time.

Any super mums, gp, miracle worker or a Fairy Godmother out there with some solutions??

Please

Peppermint tea is good for the digestion in general, maybe try that?

This will sound silly, but try a hot water bottle obviously not too hot and don’t hold it against your stomach for ages. But it works.

Peppermint extract worked for trapped wind post section. You can use the peppermint extract you use for baking if you have some.
I think colpermin is suitable for use in pregnancy too.

found walking up and down the stairs helped. I think it was the leg raising helped ease things through. My husband used to laugh at me farting on every other step.

Thank you!

I phoned the M&S garage at 00:30 to see if they had peppermint tea after reading other threads but they didn't. I'll go to shops in a while and stock up though

I did manage to get a couple of hours sleep.
It didn't pass (unless I trumped when sleeping) last night it just seemed to disappear somewhere?Hmm obviously didn't go too far though I've woken up and it's back again

I'm on the hot water bottle and belly rub now. I'll give the poses another go before DP gets in from nightshift... embarrassing!!

I take a digestive enzyme from Holland&Barrett after eating with peppermint extract and it really helps

Oh my goodness my trapped wind has been awful this pregnancy!

Nothing much relieves it, but I sent my husband out to the late night pharmacy for some 'windeze' tablets when it was particularly bad. Pharmacist said fine to take in pregnancy and they have really worked - had to use a few times since too x
