I have been told I have a SCH at 11 weeks. The sonographer didn't tell me what size it is, but they have booked me in for another scan in 2 weeks to keep an eye. I haven't been offered progesterone but have read online that it is a treatment option. Should I call and ask? Or wait it out?

Hi @Nutellatea I had a hematoma at 11 weeks although I found out on a scan after the majority of it had bled out and a trip to a&e. My consultant told me that it would resolve itself and progesterone wouldn’t really help. I had brown spotting for about 3 weeks but now I’m 18 weeks and the bleed has gone completely xxx

Hi @Nutellatea, pretty much similar situ to @Soph30!

Mine was slightly earlier at 9 weeks, found out on scan after bleed. I wasn’t prescribed anything. And I had brown spotting for around 3 weeks too!

Also 18 weeks now and no issues since xxx

I had one at my 12wk scan. I had a huge bleed whilst being scanned (no bleeding previously) and the sonographer said i had 2 small haematoma.

I had a few fraught days and was rescanned again after 4days. Baby was fine. I bled for a good few weeks. The scan was private due to NHS being unable to get nuchal measurements. I did ring my MLU and they were kind but said there wasn't much they could do, and to go to A&E if the bleeding got heavier or painful.

Anyway it had all resolved by my 20wk scan and I'm currently 39+5.

I bled at 7 weeks, luckily it clotted itself and I wasn't given anything - I do remember the absolute fear and typically, it happened at 5pm on a Friday so had to wait to be scanned on Monday - we spent the weekend assuming we had sadly lost after a MC the previous year BUT we didn't and are now 16 weeks!

I had this when I had an early scan at 8 weeks. It had pretty much gone away by 20 eeek scan without doing anything and I now have a healthy 7 month old asleep on me. Try not to worry if you can - I know it’s hard as I really worried but these generally resolve without issue

I had this, had a scan after bleeding at 7/8 weeks. All was fine x
