@secular39

No- I certainly wouldn't get it if I was under 15 weeks. There's major brain development going on in the early stages
It’s not a live vaccine - it can’t affect baby’s development. That’s why it’s also safe to have flu abd whopping cough vaccine in pregnancy.

Yep, got my first dose at 3 weeks pregnant, will be getting my second one as soon as possible.

Had my first Pfizer while TTC. Just entered my second trimester and have my dating scan tomorrow. I have waited to have my second for two reasons - firstly I have felt really unwell during my first trimester and didn't want to burden myself any more with any side effects. Secondly I want to see if all is well with the baby first, then will have it in my second trimester when the critical development stage is behind us.

@Christmasbird

If you're not allowed lip filler or botox, alcohol ect then no. Of course not.

Ridiculous comparison. All of these are elective choices, that serve no benefit whatsoever to the mum, and in the case of alcohol (don't know about the others), have been proven to harm the baby. None of them prevent serious illness from a life-threatening disease. Ffs.

@Christmasbird - you’re comparing lip filler and Botox with a life saving vaccine? Did I read that right?!

ChelleV · 21/06/2021 14:42

Yup. Had the first before pregnancy. A fever can harm baby, and covid is ruining lives, plus all evidence says it's not a risk.
