Screening and announcing

I had my 12 week scan on Friday along with the combined screening blood test. The scan was ok. I haven’t had a call and it’s been 3 working days but I still want to have the letter to confirm it’s low risk before announcing. My husband wants to announce to his parents now but I said I’m not confident until I get the results. Anyone else?

We announced after the results as it just made me feel more comfortable. But that’s because of my age (39) - your husband really should be able to wait a couple more days if that’s what you need

We told the in-laws and two close friends at 10 weeks. My scan was early this week - no results yet. They didn't actually tell me when I'd get results but the website says 3 working days for high risk or a letter within 2 weeks.

If, god forbid, something was wrong - would your DH want to tell his parents for support? If so, I think I'd let him tell them... my DH was so excited for his parents to know. If not, I'd encourage him to hold off for a while so he doesn't end up in that situation.
