Blood after toilet (tmi)

I am 9+5 and have had some spotting on and off since BFP. I notice it seems to happen more after a bowel movement, especially when I am constipated.

I had a really severe cramp a few nights ago that woke me from my sleep- it felt like a muscle contraction right across my abdomen and definitely wasn't wind/ bowel related. All of my symptoms suddenly disappeared that same day at 9+1 (nausea/ sore boobs/ tiredness) and my previous miscarriage started the same way... I'm so worried.

EPU won't see me unless I have fresh red blood that is soaking a pad. Has anyone else experienced this before and has any advice or success stories? Thank you

I am 10 + 4 and when I went to the toilet this morning, there was some light pinkish spotting, followed by about 2 hours of brown spotting. I do tend to experience this with some BMs. As for symptoms, mine seem to come and go. Today, I have none at all and yesterday I just had tingles in my boobs. I'm keeping an eye on it and will call my community midwives group if it continues. Last time I strained at a BM, I had brown spotting all day and they swabbed me for an infection. Fortunately, no infection, but I strongly suspect it was just my sensitive cervix.

Thank you for replying holiday. How do they establish if you have a sensitive cervix? Or is it just a general explanation in these cases?

@Summer210 Sorry about that. No establishment of sensitive cervix nor did any medical professional tell me that. I should have said that in general, there is more blood down there, so prone to various bumps and things like that. I don't in particular have a sensitive cervix. I did the "Google Grenade" and did a search when I first experience it and found this from the States. (I am American, so my searches sometimes come up with random US websites!) It's number 18 on the list. I found it disturbing that it mentions coughing as a cause of vaginal bleeding. Oh, no! One more thing to worry about! www.annapolisobgyn.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Frequently-Asked-Questions-in-Pregnancy.pdf

@Summer210 did you go via your GP? I don't know how it is for your area, but I had a little blood after a BM and my GP referred me. I had a small amount, certainly not a pad full.

Otherwise maybe a private scan for reassurance? They're about £70 near me and I think I'll be making use of them to check on things

@Summer210 I had on/off spotting at 10 weeks, which was happening mostly after exercise. It took 4 days of the spotting before EPU would see me - I was extremely distressed about it, so that may be why they didn't leave me any longer. Turned out I had a polyp on my cervix which was causing the spotting, but also BV which I was given antibiotics for. I'm 32 weeks now, and I had the spotting again from 27-29 weeks, again I had an infection (thrush) which was causing irritation to the polyp, once that cleared up the spotting stopped again. If EPU won't see you, might be worth calling your GP and asking for a swab?

@Summer210 oh and the second time around the spotting was always after a BM x
