SLOW GROWTH AND HEARTRATE- Very Anxious

Hi,
I had my first scan assuming im 6 weeks and the baby measured 2.5mm so was told to return, then I went back 7 days later and it was measuring 3.5mm with a 'slow heart rate' and told to return in 10 days.
I have quite bad anxiety so went to a private scan today 4 days later and it has only grown to 4.6mm over 4 days? so im still like 2 weeks behind and she said the heart rate was 'very slow'☹️ has anyone been in this situation or currently going through this? need some support!❤️

I've not experienced anything like this but just messaging to say I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and the little life inside you.

I really hope all goes well and please try and stay calm. I know easier said than done. All the best, OP xx

Guessing you're not in the UK as they don't scan that early here. Earliest is 12 wks because scans and heartbeats earlier are hard to identify correctly - hopefully that gives you confidence that it's early days and it could still be all OK xxx

I had very similar and it didn't end well. I was measuring behind at 6+2. A week later there was minimal growth and a slow heartbeat. I started to miscarry a week after that. If you search my username you can find my threads on it. It was a horrible time and the waiting for another scan was like torture.

Hi, thanks for the reply! Actually I am from the uk, I went for an early scan at a private place first and thats when it measured small, a few days passed and then my gp referred me to the epu because of my backpain. Thats when they saw the heartbeat there and confirmed it was small, so i returned 7 days later and it had only grown the slightest bit and she said the heartbeat looked slow☹️ now have to go back on Monday to see if any growth or if heart rates picked up. Its all making me so anxious ☹️ xx

So sorry OP.

I am so sorry to hear that...! :-(

I know nothing can make you feel better at the moment, as anyone who's gone through a miscarriage would attest to (myself included).

The only thing I can say to you - at least it happened sooner rather than later... What I mean, if you're fated to lose a pregnancy, you want to lose it at an earlier stage... But it is always so sad.

I hope you're doing OK xx

Thank you everyone!😘 I suppose everything happens for a reason and my time will come. Im trying to stay positive and just see it can and will happen, I think i was mentally prepared for it soon as I found out it wasnt growing so thats taken the edge off. Its the worst thing to go through but its life and I will look back on this and be extra thankful when I finally get blessed❤️ thanks once again guys xx
