Abnormal NT 12 week scan

We’ve just had our 12 week scan & had an NT of 6mm. This puts us at high risk of the baby having Down’s syndrome.
Has anyone else had a result similar??
We’re now in the horrible limbo of waiting for conclusive testing which could be weeks.

I'm so sorry you've having to go through this. Can you get a harmony test privately to speed things up? That's 99% accurate for Downs.

We’ve been offered free NIPT so that should tell us (hopefully) soon & gives the same results

We went through this recently but were incorrectly told about the NT measurement so, luckily fo is it was pointless worry, but for two weeks we lived the worry and I really feel for you. We did the NIPT with the fetal medicine centre in London and had a really good experience with them - would highly recommend!

On mumsnet there is a forum section for abnormal scans, have a look as I found it a great support!! There are a lot of positive stories out there.
