Home test high ketones? Picture

I had my booking in appointment yesterday and they took a urine sample but didnt test it while I was there. I've been quite sick so far (currently 10 weeks) so thought I'd try a home test and it shows high ketones (and also high ph?). Should I just wait for the midwife to contact me if there is a problem, as I only gave them a sample yesterday?

I would call the midwife today. It looks like you have protein in your urine too.

Contact the midwife. Why didn't they test it whilst you were there?

Agree with PP that it looks like you may have protein in your urine. Your PH looks off. Do you have any symptoms of a UTI?

Wish I'd asked her to test it when I was there! She just put it to one side and then I forgot about it until I'd left

No symptoms of UTI but I know I'm not drinking/weeing as much as I should be due to the sickness I have

Is it the morning sickness you have?
Next time just be sure to ask there and then. I know it's easy to forget but your midwife shouldn't of forgotten! I would contact them today. You could have a UTI or like you said could be because you're not drinking enough.

I know it's easy to say but do try to drink more than you are. Just small amounts but a lot throughout the day.

Definitely contact the midwife or GP. I have been suffering with HG and if my ketones are 2+ or more then I have to go in for IV fluids as it’s a sign of dehydration. Yours look like maybe 3/4+ so I imagine you need some rehydration. I just go in, have a bag or 2 of fluids then go home again. Don’t feel like you can’t ask for help with the sickness, it can be so debilitating.

Yep morning sickness Sad I phoned up and they said they send urine samples away for the hospital to test, so they've not go results yet. I mentioned the high ketones from my home test and she said that's quite common when you're struggling with morning sickness so I just need to try and eat and drink as much as I can.

So for now I just need to wait and see if anything gets picked up when the hospital do their tests
