Fetal pole not growing inline with dates. Last Period was 1st April 2021.

Went for a private Early pregnancy scan at 7 weeks 2 days and was measured at 5w5d with heartbeat.

Went for a second scan by the NHS at 9w1d and was measured at 6w2d with a heartbeat. So in 13 calendar days growing just 3 days.

Had another scan today at 9w4d and didn’t get a measuring date but heartbeat still present.

I have been told to expect the worst again and have a rescan booked for a weeks time but just wondered if anyone had any similar experiences of

Extra:
This is my 4th pregnancy; 1st was a MMC at 12 weeks although pregnancy was only around 4-5 week. 2nd and 3rd were also very early miscarriages that happened naturally very soon after a BFP.

No current known issues with my partner or I.

Anyone had similarly experiences?

The speed of the heartbeat will give the best indicator. Have they spoken to you about that?

With my MMC, the growth was a bit off, but within the realms of acceptability, but baby’s heartbeat was much slower than expected.

Thanks for your message. The first scan they said it was Bradycardia (slow) heartbeat but in the second scan with the nhs they said they don’t monitor this at this stage as it’s too difficult to say but they did say they didn’t have any concerns with heartbeat just the growth and dates.

NHS didn’t look into my baby’s heartbeat either but a private provider did- and as I said, much too slow. Unfortunately not a happy ending no matter how much I prayed that it would speed up. Sad
