I am SO excited about my first baby ❤️ I am only early (12 weeks 3 days) to be precise and I am due 17th December 2021.... so close to Christmas Day and also close to my lovely late mums birthday (who I sadly lost last year in March) her birthday is the 23rd December. It would be so lovely if baby made an appearance on her birthday 🥳 🙈 although I'm stressing as I don't want to be in hospital over Xmas 😅 it will be what it will be though!

Is anyone else due this close to Xmas?! 😍🤍

People with babies already, do you find 1st babies tend to usually come early or late? X

I'm due a bit later than you, on 29th Dec, and desperately hoping I can keep him/her inside for at least an extra week. I'm sure I'll be begging for them to leave as the time gets closer but I just really don't like the idea of a birthday so close to Christmas and New Year 😞

I am kinda glad I'll be heavily pregnant in the winter though, not sure I could cope in the hot weather! Bad enough now at 12 weeks without a big belly

Don’t stress about being in hospital over Christmas - it would only be the one Christmas

With my first, I would come home from work and go straight to bed for an hour before dinner... no chance of that these days haha!

I'm due on 31st December (first baby)! Altho bf was apparently born 5 weeks early the size of a normal baby, so we'll see how it does and if those genes have been passed on!

@17december2021 Haven't had any nausea or sickness, just tiredness and a phase of severe hunger! Seems to be subsiding a bit now tho thankfully, as otherwise I would end up being the size of a small house!

@CilaMia We're already set on a boys name, have agreed on Leon, but we can't seem to agree on a girls name, I really like Zoey, but bf it not so keen. He likes Phoebe, but I don't like the fact it will be shortened to Phebs. Have you started chasing a name yet?

Congratulations all!! I'm due 27th December with our second baby, but will be a planned c-section so likely to be the week before. Planned c-sections are done on Tuesdays & Thursdays in my local hospital so presuming it will be 21st or 23rd, would prefer 21st as more chance of being out for Christmas hopefully! Have had a few negative comments about having a Christmas/December baby but trying not to let it get to me.

We've got a son who is very excited; we're not going to find out the sex of this one as not planning to have any more children & would love to know what it's like to experience the surprise!

@17december2021 - hope your nausea has eased a bit now! I had nausea right up to about 22 weeks and I think it's now switched to heartburn/indigestion

I'm also a first time mum and due 13 December!

Can't comment on the locations as I'm North West.

So far I've not had a bad pregnancy, nausea but never sickness until 13 weeks then have been fine since. No heartburn but have slowed down on the exercise front. Only walk nowadays but did manage a 7.5 mile (flat) walk today so not doing too badly.

Anticipating I'll struggle in third trimester or have the worst birth ever though to make up for it

hello! I am due December 19 but going for an elective c-section so is more likely to be a first week of December delivery.

It's my first pregnancy and it's been a bit of a struggle. Lots of pain from hypermobility, arthritis, SPD and plantar fasciitis in both feet. Birth cannot come quickly enough!
