Period after miscarriage

First period came after 5 weeks and was normal ish, now bleeding again after 2.5 weeks.

I had read that cycles can be longer but wasn't expecting them to be this short. Is this normal? I was just over 11 weeks pregnant and had an d&c.

I had a MMC in December last year and physically miscarried at 11.5 weeks. Once the MC was complete I had 3 periods before conceiving again. I would say they were all a bit abnormal - my issue was that my bleed lasted 7-8 days each time rather than my usual 3 days. And my 3rd period was 5 days late which is unusual for me as I’m regular. So in short I would say it can take a few cycles to get back to normal, or even longer. I said to myself that if my 4th cycle still wasn’t normal then I would go to the GP but I actually got pregnant in that time so didn’t need to!
