Miscarriage or something else?

Hi, I found out I was pregnant on Thursday and since Friday night I’ve had a lot of cramping and lower back pain. I woke in the night Friday night with bad cramps in my stomach, it had me doubling over. It continued yesterday on and off both in my stomach, lower left side and lower back. Obviously my mind is all over the place and thinking miscarriage, but I’ve only had a very small amount of bleeding (light pink discharge when wiping once). I am getting some pain pain today but not so intense. I’m only about 4+3 so very early days. Could this be to do with implantation? Also should I be getting in touch with my Gp tomorrow? Or wait it out? This is my second pregnancy but I don’t remember any of this the first time round. Thank you!

If I were you, I'd go to the nearest maternity hospital, or to A&E. It is most likely nothing, but you need to check whether it is ectopic or not if you have any pain on one side. It's an urgent thing, so my advice would be don't wait to speak to the GP.

I also had pain on my lower right side and cramping, and it was not ectopic, but I think you do need to get it checked, just in case.

As above if I was doubled over I’d go get checked.

I would get double checked at the hospital. Just In case it's ectopic

I've had 2 ectopics- the pain is one sided similar to what you describe and yes a doubling over sort of pain initially. If you get to point of rupture the pain doesn't go away and you literally can't even walk/stand/crawl/talk - it's a writhing on the bed kind of pain (and I have a high pain threshold)

I'd go and get checked out BUT it's Sunday which means no one will scan you today as the sonographers likely won't be in and they don't have that kind of equipment in a&e (just managing your expectations here in case you go and wait 4 hours expecting to be seen). They will most likely book you an appointment with EPU for tomorrow at the earliest

Thanks for the responses all. I hadn’t thought of ectopic. Strange thing is the pain has now moved to the other side, and surely with ectopic it would stick to the same side? It’s definitely not writhing on the bed kind of pain, other than on Friday night (early Saturday morning really) but that didn’t last too long before it eased off. The rest of the time it’s been coming and going .
I will go and get checked to be sure though, but may wait till the morning unless it gets worse.
